Presales Engineer

Our client based in Durban is looking for a Presales Engineer. Responsibilities: • Proof and develop technical-related materials for product launches. • Assist with industry trade shows by representing the products managed. • Serve as a key strategic and technical advisor for opportunities, making recommendations to the sales team based on customer requirements and solution capabilities. • Create and maintain accurate technical overviews, specifications and documentation for products and solutions. • Test company and competitor camera features to create powerful marketing messages demonstrating the value of company products. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science or related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience. • 2+ years of technical sales, sales support, sales engineering or product marketing experience within the video surveillance industry. • Experience creating visual materials and messaging. • Strong technical experience with higher-end CCTV equipment, including storage, transmission, intercom and access control systems. • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with ability to present to technical and non-technical audiences. • Project management experience. • Familiarity with Adobe products such as video editing/creation, Adobe Photoshop and PowerPoint. • Experience testing products against competitors to develop optimal marketing initiatives.
