Technical Sales Representative – Factory Automation

Our client in the Factory Automation industry is looking for an experienced Technical Sales Representative to join their team. Responsibilities: • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the factory automation and industrial sectors. • Sell and promote industrial automation, OT networking and related technical solutions. • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers. • Conduct regular client visits, site meetings and technical sales presentations. • Understand customer operational requirements and recommend appropriate technical solutions. • Prepare quotations, proposals and follow up on opportunities through to closure. • Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline. • Work closely with technical and internal teams to ensure proposed solutions meet customer requirements. • Identify opportunities for cross-selling and growing existing accounts. • Maintain knowledge of market developments, competitors and emerging technologies within factory automation and industrial networking. • Meet agreed sales and revenue targets. • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities, quotations and sales activities. • Provide regular sales forecasts and pipeline updates. Requirements: • Relevant degree or tertiary qualification in Sales, Business, Marketing or a related field. • Previous technical sales experience, preferably within factory automation, industrial automation, industrial networking or a related environment. • Good understanding of OT networks and industrial environments. • Ability to understand technical products and translate technical capabilities into commercial solutions for customers. • Must have a valid driver's licence. • Must have own reliable vehicle for business travel during the probation period. • Willing and able to travel to customer sites as required. • Available to start as soon as possible will be advantageous.
